iPRF
iPRF
iPRF (injectable platelet-rich fibrin) is a natural skin rejuvenation treatment that uses your own blood to help restore skin quality.
A small sample is spun to create a concentrate rich in platelets and growth factors, which is then injected back into areas like the under-eyes, face or scalp to encourage your skin's own collagen and repair processes.
With nothing synthetic added, iPRF at our Milton Keynes clinic offers gradual, natural-looking results that simply look like you, refreshed.
The treatment
We take a small blood sample
Just like a routine blood test, we take a small sample of your blood from your arm.
We spin it in our centrifuge
It is spun in a low-speed centrifuge to separate a concentrate rich in platelets, white blood cells and fibrin.
We re-inject it back in
It releases growth factors gradually over several days, encouraging your skin's natural repair and collagen processes.
iPRF Treatment in Milton Keynes

iPRF (injectable platelet-rich fibrin) is a regenerative treatment that uses your body's own blood to support skin quality, from within. A small sample of blood is taken and spun in a low-speed centrifuge to separate a concentrate rich in platelets, white blood cells and fibrin. This is then injected back into the treatment area, where it releases growth factors gradually over several days, encouraging your skin's natural repair and collagen processes.
Because nothing synthetic is added, iPRF is a popular choice for clients who want gradual, natural-looking improvement rather than a dramatic change.
-
At Secret Enhancements, we most commonly use iPRF for tired-looking under-eyes and dark circles, crepey or thinning skin, overall skin texture and radiance, fine lines around the face, neck and décolletage, acne scarring, and thinning hair on the scalp. We'll only recommend it where we genuinely think it's the right treatment for you, and sometimes that means combining it with, or suggesting, something else entirely.
-
iPRF is spun at a lower speed than traditional PRP and without anticoagulant, so it retains more white blood cells and forms a light fibrin matrix once injected. This allows growth factors to be released more slowly over time rather than all at once.
-
Your journey starts with an unrushed, no-obligation consultation with one of our medical injectors, followed by a 30-day cooling-off period so you never feel pressured. On treatment day, a blood sample is taken, prepared in clinic, and injected using fine needles or cannula. The appointment takes around 45–60 minutes. Mild redness, swelling or small bruises are possible for a few days, and most people return to normal activities straight away.
Results build gradually as your skin responds. A course of three sessions, spaced four to six weeks apart, is usually recommended, with maintenance treatments after that. Results vary from person to person.
-
Every treatment is carried out by a medical injector, following clinical protocols and current safety guidance. iPRF sits within our Skin Quality pillar, and we'll always tell you honestly what it can and can't achieve for you.
-
Most clients find it very tolerable. Numbing cream can be applied beforehand for comfort.
-
After a full course, results typically last 12 months, with maintenance sessions recommended.
-
Because it uses your own blood, the risk of allergy is very low. It's not suitable for everyone, including those with certain blood disorders, active infections or cancers, which is why a full medical consultation is essential.
-
Yes, it pairs well with skin boosters, microneedling and skin treatments as part of a tailored plan.
